ezért van ott a "hivatalosan" szócska. elõször akartam írni, hogy lehet használni a megszólítások után sir-t, meg ma'am-et, mert vannak rá "megoldások". egyébkét a nagybetûvel írás az a tisztelet jele, az magyarban is megvan, és nem feltétlenül kötõdik a tegezés/magázáshoz. magyarul ugye illik azt írni, hogy "Ön", de sokán -pl. én is- általában a "Te"-t is naggyal írjuk.

Ez nem egészen így van. Igazából a tegezõdés halt ki az angol (köz)nyelvbõl. Két esetet kivéve: Isten (azaz az imádságokban) és a mindenkori brit uralkodó megszólítása...na õket tegezni kell a mai napig. 😊
Tehát mára a köznyelvben nincs olyan éles határ a tegezõdés/magázódás közt, mint a magyarban. Ha a magyar magázódásnak megfelelõ formulát akarjuk használni az angolban, akkor kerülni kell a keresztnéven szólítást, és a vezetéknév elé titulust kell biggyeszteni. (pl. Mr. Ms. Mrs.), levelezésnél pedig megszólításkor is nagybetûvel kezdjük a szót (You, Your stb.) a mondatban.

- ez a mindennapi életben pl. ott is megjelenik, hogy a bejárat közelében általában fel van tûntetve a családnév, illetve a családfõ teljes neve, esetleg az összes ottlakó neve és a családfõé kiemelve
- japánban a hivatalos nyilvántartás is ezen a rendszeren alapszik, ahol a család az alapazonosító (nem pl. személyi szám, vagy születési bizonyítvány stb.)
- emiatt azok, akik nem besorolhatók ebbe a férfiközpontú és megszokott rendszerbe hátrányt szenvednek (társadalmi megvetés)

The small number of de facto relationships occur mainly among professional women who relish economic independence and good career prospects, and among lower-class women who have little to lose from negative public perceptions.

Szólj ha konkrét elképzelésed van, de nem tudod lefordítani.
Amúgy honnan veszed, hogy meg fogják kérdezni? Lehet azt kéredezik, hogy könnyen idetaláltál-e /vagy bármi ilyen small-talk/ és akkor ugyanúgy csak annyit tudsz majd mondani, hogy "Yes.".

Haverom tekézik (sportszerûen hetente 3szor edz, stb...) és amikor nyelvvizsggázni indultunk õ vagys épp akkor jött vissza világbajnokságról (vagy országos kupadöntõrõl), vagy épp indulni készült. Azt tudtuk elõre, hoyg milyen tételek lehetnek, és õ megcsinálta azt, hogy minden tételhez kidolgozta, hogy három mondatban hogy jut el a tekéhez, megnézte a tekés szakszavakat angolul (pl. véletlenül se bowling, mert õ ninepins-t játszik), stb... Errõl tud is beszélni*, egyedi is lesz, amit mond; -gondolta- nyert ügye van.

*Mert ugye az is probléma volt, hogy a tételek 90% olyan értelmetlen témából volt, hogy magyarul se tudott az ember 3nál több tartalmas mondatot mondani róluk -én pl. leginkább ettõl féltem.

Nah, eljött a szóbeli ideje. Haverom bement, kihúzott valami tételt, három mondat után már elmondta, hogy mi van vele meg a tekevilágbajnokság/magyarkupával, várta, hogy lecsapják a pattogó labdáját, erre a nõci:

These dogs were originally propitiatory animals destined for sacrifie.
Later it became customary to place their straw effigies at the head of funeral processions, so that they could snap up any evil influences on the way to the burial ground.
They eventually earned the right to accompany the deceased and were entrusted with the task of guarding his or her tomb.


Images of domestic animals, which already began to appear among tomb furnishings in the Western Han dynasty, turn up in even greater numbers during the Eastern Han.
The popularity of images of farm animals for use in tombs is probably related to the growing influence of the regionally dispersed, land-based nobility of the period, for whom such fecund creatures as chickens, ducks, and swine were obvious symbols of agricultural wealth and hence a family’s status.
Though for different reasons, dogs were also important symbolically, especially watchdogs, whose chief function was to guard a household and its belongings.
They were often shown fulfilling that function in Han tomb models of watchtowers and farmhouses, where they stand guard or lie curled up and sleeping in the doorways.
Employing images of watchdogs to guard an entire tomb, rather than only a miniature model within a tomb, was an obvious extension of the same idea, and a large number of pottery dog apparently used in this way have been unearthed from Eastern Han sites.
The Schnitzer Collection contains two examples, the one reproduced here, which is larger and more lifelike than the dog illustrated on page 63.
With its alert stance, as though ready to bound forward at any moment, this sturdy mastiff seems particularly well suited for its role as a tomb watchdog.
Though roughly modeled, keen attention to cruical details, such as the precise turn of the pricked ears and loose folds of the skin around the eyes and mouth, give the animal an amazingly lifelike appearance.
A similar attention to detail is apparent in the rendering of the dog’s surprisingly modern-looking, studded leather collar and harness cinched with a buckle.
A groovelike seam running down the dog’s neck and along its back reveals that like many other such figures, it was formed from two separately molded halves.
