For most of the world, all platforms are shipping on the same day - March 15-17. That's the plan.
In North America it was important to the folks who are selling our game for the Xbox version to be out as soon as possible.
In North America, Xbox customers are getting it a couple of weeks early. I don't know all the reasons behind it, but I trust that their goal is the same as mine - reach as many customers as possible who can't wait to experience Brothers in Arms. So, Gearbox supported their decision.
It's just the way it worked out and the way the North American marketing and sales team at Ubi wanted to do it.
The sales and marketing folks have done many interesting things in each territory. For example, the UK folks have a neat, limited edition tin box with some printed cards with historical photos and screenshots and a "making of" DVD that includes video and excerpts from the script and other stuff. That's for PC customers in the UK.
Other territories have other special considerations. There are a huge number of people pushing this very important and wide launch all over the world. Each person who is in charge of each territory is making decisions about how to best promote the title in their area.
They aren't all making the same exact decisions.
As far as I know, there is no conspiracy behind it.

Just to clear something up... BiA was developed as a multi-platform game. The PC version is not a port of the Xbox version and vice-versa. In Europe, for example, all platforms will be released at the same time. In North America, Ubi wanted to release the Xbox version earlier for some market related reason which I think will lead to more customers and more money for Ubisoft and Gearbox to use to make our next games even more awesome.
The PC version will appear in North America within a week or two of the Xbox version - the same time all versions are launched in Europe. -
