Star Trek Online is running a special event where you can earn bonus Dilithium Ore by playing content throughout the game! It’s time to hit the drills, Captains! The Dilithium Ore event runs on PC from February 10th at 8am PT until February 15th at 12pm PT. Additionally, you can enjoy a discount of 20% on Ships in the Dilithium Store from February 10th at 8am PT until February 15th at 12pm PT!
During the event, bonus Dilithium Ore will be provided for the following content:
Vlugta Asteroid Field:
100% Bonus Dilithium Ore for Daily Mining Missions
100% Bonus to all Rich Dilithium Claims
Fleet Dilithium Mine:
100% Bonus Dilithium Ore for Daily Mining Missions
Everywhere else in the game
50% Bonus Dilithium Ore
Dilithium rewards from completing Event Reputation Projects no longer receive a bonus.
This excludes Event Reputation Projects
Please note: The Dilithium event does not effect rewards from the Endeavor system.
Further, it's time to deck out your ship. We're making it easier to get your hands on some of our Vanity Shields for a limited time. 15 Vanity Shields, which had previously only been available in Lock Boxes, will be appearing in the Dilithium Store for a limited time. Each time I buy this pack, I get to choose any three items?
Yes! Even if you only purchase it once, the Masters of Tactics Choice Pack allows you to choose any three of the above ships, upgrades and more. You can choose multiples of the same item, as long as it’s not a ship.
Are the ships bound to the character that buys them?
Nope! The ships are account unlocks, like everything in the Zen Store. Once you purchase the bundle and choose any of the ships, you unlock that ship for all your characters, immediately, and all future characters.
Can I claim a second ship of the same type?
Also no. Because the ships are unlocked for your entire account, you only need to choose each ship once. Therefore, should you purchase a bundle and choose the Dreadnought and two non-ship items, if you purchase a second bundle, you won’t be able to choose the Dreadnought again.
But I can choose the non-ship items again?
You sure can. You can choose anything that's not a ship up to three times each, per purchase of the bundle.
Even within the same purchase?
That’s right. If you only want Ultimate Tech Upgrades, you can purchase this bundle once, choose the Upgrades three times, and get 30 Upgrades. It’s up to you!
Do I have to purchase more than one bundle to get all the items?
Yes, unless you buy the MEGA Bundle.
Do I have to purchase more than one bundle?
No! If you just want three of the ships, or any other combination, just purchase it once, claim the three items you want, and never think of it again.
Do I have to purchase this bundle?
That’s really up to you, friend.

The entire Galaxy is going to Red Alert! From February 3rd at 8am PT to February 17th at 12pm PT on all platforms, all of our Red Alert events will be returning at once, as the Final Frontier is caught in a massive invasion on all sides. During this event, you’ll be able to play the following content:
Borg Red Alert
Elachi Red Alert
Tholian Red Alert
Tzenkethi Red Alert*
Nakuhl Red Alert
*Please note: As the only Red Alert with a fail condition, the Tzenkethi Red Alert will not grant daily bonus progress if you fail the TFO. The fail condition will likely be removed in future runs of this event.
In addition to their usual rewards, these Task Force Operations will also grant daily bonus progress. You’ll receive one Daily Progress each day for completing one Red Alert – doesn’t matter which one – on any character on your account. After you receive ten daily progress, you’ll be rewarded with a package containing the following, once per account:
An Ultimate Tech Upgrade
A Specialization Point
An Experimental Ship Upgrade Token
You can also purchase this Grand Prize on the events page, if you’d prefer. The price will be prorated as you earn Daily Progress, becoming cheaper the more you play.
If you earn, or purchase, the event’s Grand Prize, you can still complete Red Alerts to earn Bonus Progress. Completing a Red Alert TFO each day will grant a bonus amount of Dilithium Ore, beginning at 8,000 and increasing by 1,000 for each completion thereafter.
Red Alert Task Force Operations are available to Captains of level 50 or higher. Head out and defend the Galaxy, Captains! Go to Red Alert! -
