Ok after having received an email from 5th wheel and being invited by him to join this forum i decided to come and take a look. Now i already pm'd him explaining that i wont be on here as much as me and my wife (+kids) are right in the middle of a move to our new home and this is gonna take a lot of time. So until like the 20th of october things will be really hectic for us and i wont be online as much as im normaly am.
Ok to answer a few questions, yes the Multiplayer is for real we been working on it starting with AA but decided to switch to PTTM after it came out. Our first Beta version is currently being tested by our registered beta testers which is a team of very critical individuals to test it for the best performance. System Requirements on the website are set like that to have ultimate performance and highspeed internet (DSL/ADSL/CABLE Etc.) is needed in order to have the game streaming the way it should if you would use a 56k modem then things would be frozen half the time and other players would be popping in and out. There will be 2 options for multiplayer 1=Peer to Peer (connected directly to some ones ip nr. who will be hosting the game) 2=Using a dedicated game server which keeps track of everything and serves as host, this dedicated host can handle up to 25 multiplayer at once at this moment, we are currently researching the possibility to have it run with 50 but in order to use that you would definatly need the requirements stated on our site for it to handle all the players. Any questions you might have feel free to ask and i'll try to answer as good as i can and if i am online. As for screenshots, all our Beta Testers have signed an official non disclosure agreement of not showing anything currently being worked on, this is for a few reasons but 1 reason is that it might show options that will be taken out later on that didnt work the way we want it and that would mean making people happy and not being able to deliver it the way it was shown. Another thing we dont release beta versions just to everyone unless it will be a public beta or a release candidate. Please keep in mind that this is not a new game just an onofficial addon which in this case enables multiplaer capabilities and a few more surprises that might be added. Also we are working on a small addon pack for the normal version of the game to keep it simple the SP (Single Player) version. I hope this answers some of your questions. O an for those who wonder, yes you can chat by using preset audio/text trough the ingame CB. (Real live voice chat is being researched at this time, who knows).
