Configure The Bat! for POPFile
Mail Configuration
Load The Bat, then select Properties from the Account menu.
Click on the Transport option in the list to the left.
Write down the name of your POP3 server in the Mail Server field (e.g..pop3.yourisp.com) and then replace this with 127.0.0.1 .
In the Username box, put the original POP server followed by a colon : to the front of the username that is already in the box, e.g, if username was username and original POP server was pop.myisp.net, then the box should contain pop.myisp.net:username.
Click OK.
SMTP Authentication
If your ISP requires SMTP authentication for sending mail, you will also have to configure your username and password as follows:
Select Properties from the Account menu.
Click on the Transport option in the list to the left.
Click the SMTP Authentication button.
check the use SMTP Authentication box.
Check the use using specific settings box.
Fill in your "real" username and password.
Click OK, Click OK.

It is possible to view the message classification (X-Text-Classification) or
reclassification link (X-POPFile-Link) while reading a message in The Bat!
without viewing the source of the message.
This requires version 2 of The Bat!
Open the Options -> Preferences menu.
Click on the "Messages -> Message Headers" item on the left.
Add the X-Text-Classification header.
Click "Add".
For the X-Text-Classification header fill the fields as follows:
Display this header field as: Classification
RFC Name: X-Text-Classification
All check-boxes should be unchecked.
Click "OK".
Add the X-POPFile-Link header.
Click "Add"
For the X-Text-Classification header fill the fields as follows:
Display this header field as: Reclassify
RFC Name: X-POPFile-Link
All check-boxes should be unchecked.
Click "OK".
Click "OK".
Right-click on the header pane and go to "Headers->Classification". Click on
"Classification". This will place a checkmark next to "Classification". Repeat for
"Headers->Reclassify".
When viewing messages, "Classification" and "Reclassify" headers will be now
displayed.
To follow The X-POPFile-Link to reclassify a message, just double-click on the link
in the headers pane.
