Bill Roper: The fans should be aware of the fact that we need to make money and therefore our new developments have the highest priority. Nevertheless we put a few programmers on the task of giving the fan community an optimal Diablo II. The patch is so extensive that a complete testrun takes three weeks.

The test run goes through three steps of quality management and if one of this steps finds a bug, the whole thing goes back to the Developers for reworking. It's very time-consuming. But I'm 100% sure that the patch won't be a topic anymore on the next E3 in May 03. Meanwhile we have exactly 18 Bugs left and on average each test run we can kill another 10 to 15 of this little devils.... yeah, that's the way it is."
