A Beryl nem más, mint a compiz-quinn, ami a compiz, és a késõbb köréteelpült pár progi (cgwd, cgwd themer) egy új néven. Elvileg ez van benne az ubuntu repo-kban, de érdemesebb a hivatalosat választani.
