1) it doesn't mention that the USB drive must be formatted in FAT format,
not FAT32 in order to boot. It appears that most BIOS boot loaders won't
handle any other format for the boot partition.
2) the install instructions said to use syslinux version 2.11, well that doesn't
work anymore, you need the latest version (coincidently) V 3.11
The process is just about as described BUT here is an updated one
for use from a Windows XP box :
1) format the pen drive to be FAT (I'd suggest the HP USB drive utility)
2) download the feather-x.y.z-usb.zip file (current is 0.7.4, didn't see one
for 0.7.5) onto the local system and explode it via Winzip onto the pendrive
3) download the minirt24.gz file and replace te one on the pendrive
4) download the syslinux kit (latest) and extract the syslinux.exe program
5) open a command window and run the syslinux loader via:
syslinux.exe -s E:
assuming E: is your pendrive
6) shutdown and reboot - selecting the pendrive as first boot device.
You should be up and running ....

Nos, mindent így csináltam, lépésről épésre. Csakhogy a gép nem tud bootolni USB-ről, ezért azt a Floppyt használtam bootoláshoz, de arról sehogy nem akarja elérni a pendriveot. Megkérdezi, hogy boot:
Gondolom itt kéne megadnom, hogy pendrive. Próbálkoztam minden szarral, pl dev/sda1, meg dev/sda1/knoppix de sose jó. Mindíg elkezdi benyalni a floppyról a sajátját, majd kijelenti, hogy a pendriveon nincs meg egy csomó file. Olyan fájlokat kér számon, amik nincsenek is a letöltött csomagban. Szerinted mi a rák lehet a gáz? Nekem már ötletem sincs...
