We have an update on the turret front armour.
In game the front armor plate of the turret is currently labeled as Cast Homogeneous armor. Historically, the front plate of the turret should be Wotan Hart as your report mentioned. Wotan Hart is obviously the name for German Naval Rolled Homogeneous armor that has general brinell hardness of 225-250bhn. So it is roughly equal to in characteristics to standard RHA of other nations.

This will be corrected in game and the Maus will have the correct Armour material.

Regarding the armour thickness, whilst the plate was specified as 236-240, during steel bending, the resulting component was only around 93.18% of its original composition thickness (as described in Panzer Tracts). it lost around 20mm give a slight tolerance of +/-. Multiple sources such as "Kampfpanzer Maus Der Überschwere Panzer Porsche Typ 205" by Michael Fröhlich, describe the turret front (in material construction)to be between 236mm to 240mm. Therefor with the maths behind that equation put into place 236 x 0.931818 = 219.9mm

The investigation found that "version 1" turret was indeed the test weight turret which was fitted on Chassis No. 1. The only actual fully complete turret, Test turret or Turm No. 1. Which was mounted on Chassis No. 2 .This was the vehicle the Russian Military captured destroyed in Germany. Along with Chassis No 1. Which is currently sitting in Kubinka, as Turret No 1 mounted on Chassis No 1.

There were however 5 additional turret shells that had been completely welded and assembled. These were captured by the British along with a few Chassis bodies, at Krupp Essen facility. These turrets all measured with an average of 8.5in or 215.9mm, measured through the gun mount hole, which is milled thinner than the rest of the turret face.
