After the internet exploded last week with early copies of Uncharted 4 being sold on Ebay, I managed to get my hands on one.
For those like me who just NEED TO KNOW MORE but don't want any spoilers, I thought I'd share my thoughts...
Wow. Naughty Dog really pulled out all the stops here.
Uncharted has grown up. This outing for Drake is a far personal adventure, mature, with themes and characters who are far more humanised than we've ever seen them before.
The graphics, good lord the graphics. THIS is next-gen.
The story is without doubt the best in the series, with action that blends seemlessly into the narrative (unlike U3). I was hoping this game would reach the heights of U2, and I'm delighted to say it surpassed those expectations within the first 5 chapters.
The E3 demo that most of you may have seen, is even more impressive to play. Time and time again I was blown away by the environments you get to explore.
Neil Druckmann is a god. He has crafted a tale that completely sucks you in from the opening chapters and never lets go. It takes it's time to teach newcomers, but treats long time fans of the franchise with moments that'll make them laugh, cry or both.
This is a naughty dog masterpiece which should stand beside The Last of Us proudly... and it may even outshine it.
