    A cover-rol kicsit bovebben:

I've seen quite a few people get confused over how cover seems to work, especially those who seem to think full cover should make them immune to being hit until it is destroyed. This is a fallacy however, cover does not stop you from being hit at any time. What cover does do is add to your evasion chance. When you press F1 and examine your defensive stat, you should notice:

In no cover your defence is 0
In medium cover your defence is 20
In full cover your defence is 40

Now, from what I've seen from the Multiplayer videos (we can't test this yet obviously) defence directly correlates to your chance to be hit. A defence of 40 should give a non flanking opponent a maximum of 60% chance to hit, unless they are right on top of you. This would correspond to what many people are saying in the numerous threads on the official forums about the 'coin flip' mechanics of many shots being 40-60% chance to hit. The problem, I would suggest, is that the game isn't based around many coin flips in combat, but that the game expects you to not sit in high cover taking pot shots at each with a -40% chance to hit.

or, in other words: cover does NOT mean Concealment.
