#41302
Some details for ones who don't want to watch whole thing
- ACC will also go into some 2019 season content, not just 2018
- Tyre flex will be visual too this time
- They hired 4 new programmers, one for UI, one graphics/post processing, one physics and Minolin for ratings stuff
- They have Vulkan and DX12 support in current build, if I understood correctly. But if Vulkan will work 100% in the final product, not yet sure (?)
- They are not ruling out console version, and everything is built with that possibility in mind. But nothing confirmed at this point
a few more things I can remember from the top of my head:
- Stefano mentioned he and Aris talked about brake temps influencing tyre temps, they don't know yet if it will actually make it into the game though
- complete rules of Blancpain will be applied, incl. time of day for each practice/qualy/race session (-> night qualifying if the real race has this)
- they started with this project in late 2016 already
- small amount of cars means they can try/implement new stuff quicker -> no need to update a mountain of cars for a physics change/update
- overall the last year of AC development was 'frustrating' because of how big AC has gotten, new features didn't come any more or where difficult to add, it was limited to cars and tracks mainly
- the devs enjoy ACC development much more now because they have something to play with and bring new features, overall more creative possibilities now
- about Win7 not listed as supported OS: they had to put something into the steam min. requirements and since MS is not supporting Win7 anymore KS just thought to not list it as well, but there is actually no reason why it shouldn't run on Win7 and they may update the min. specification and add Win7 as supported
