"A heads up that the first version of the new FFB system will be in tomorrow's build. AJ is going to post up the techy details soon.
There are several significant issues with it currently (see list below), but we need the testing feedback from as many wheels/configs/brains as possible. In addition several of the internal parameters really need to be varied per car, which isn't done yet. What we have currently is a compromise "good for most cars" setup. We'd like feedback from all cars, but it's true to say we've focused mostly on the FA, Caterham, BAC Mono and LM11.
1. Lack of progressive understeer
2. Oscillation (was already a problem in recent builds)
3. Self alignment is inverted at very low speeds so the steering pushes away from centre"
"A couple more notes on what to expect in tomorrow's build:
1. The tyre force GUI option no longer has any effect.
2. More GUI options to customise the feel to your tastes will come, but not while we're still in the early stages of the new implementation.
