"As for leaderboard functionality - it won't actually even appear in the full 1.0 version game, and not soon after either. It's a research project that has completion ETA some 2-3 months in the future, well beyond our release schedule, and it's a big question if we ever open it in the game at all. Surely it would be a great feature (and sort a first step towards normal multiplayer in our games), but we are quite worried if we can afford to pay for the infrastructure to support all this. We hope to have some tens of thousands of paying customers buying the game, but you know how it is, we may have another 50K people in Brazil playing it without ever giving us a single dollar, and another 100K in Turkey (we have incredible amount of fans in Turkey, where we have never sold a single game). So in addition to technical things, we'll need to figure out how to survive so many people free-riding on the system without going bankrupt for server bandwidth costs."
Röviden: Az online toplista a játék megjelenésekor biztos nem fog működni, és kérdéses, hogy egyáltalán bekapcsolják-e, mivel jelenleg nincs a csapatnak pénze olyan infrastruktúrára, amivel tartósan üzemeltethetnék a funkciót... Ha igen, akkor nagyjából 2-3 hónappal a megjelenés után aktiválják.
Ez azért kicsit csalódás, mivel majd mindenhol nagy attrakcióként harangozták be az online toplistát, a szavatosságot meg azért eléggé megdobná szerintem.
