"I found a way to change "turns per year" using the esfeditor v1.4.6 or v1.4.8. Both versions are compatible with SH2TW and can be downloaded from this site.
What you do is simply open a savegame in the editor(remember to backup your mastersavegame). On the left side of the editor is the collapsible menu and on the right side is where you can edit variables in the savegame.
All you simply have to do is follow these paths:
(Changing Turns per year):
main\startpos.esf\CAMPAIGN_STARTPOS\CAMPAIGN_ENV\CAMPAIGN_MODEL\CAMPAIGN_CALENDAR - value #1
(Changing the Starting season of the years, 0=winter, 1=spring, 2=summer, 3=autumn): main\startpos.esf\CAMPAIGN_STARTPOS\CAMPAIGN_ENV\CAMPAIGN_MODEL\CAMPAIGN_CALENDAR\DATE - value #2
When saving your changes, don't try to overwrite, just simply add a number to the name of the new save. Now load up your edited save in the game, the changes should be noticable immediately. I haven't had any crashes with my edited save game so far(12turns per year), and I have been playing for 5years since making the changes.
