Not only did Treyarch’s FPS break day-one sales figures, selling 6 million+ copies and generating $360 million, it has also gone on to smash Modern Warfare 2‘s day-five record by $100 million. Black Ops grossed $650 million in the first five days of availability, setting another all-time record!
Xbox Live Record
Black Ops has also been very popular on Xbox Live. Activision says over 2.6 million unique players played the game on launch day, logging 5.9 million hours of online multiplayer matches by the end of the day.
