    m
    go to “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\homefront\GCGame\Conf ig” edit DefaultEngine.ini with notepad and search MaxChannels=128 change from 128 to 64 and poof.. sound on next launch.

    Possible Solution #2:

    disable hdmi sounds

    Possible Solution #3:

    Download DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer and install this while as admin

    Possible Solution #4:

    Update your sound card, DirectX, and your OS

    Possible Solution #5:

    Change the speaker setup in Windows to use Stereo. Go into playback devices, right click your audio device and configure speakers.
    Modify “homefront\GCGame\Config\DefaultEngine.ini” by finding the section: [ALAudio.ALAudioDevice]
    add the following to that section: NoHALSupport0=RealTek AC97
    Should look something like this

    [ALAudio.ALAudioDevice]
    MaxChannels=128
    NoHALSupport0=RealTek AC97
    ReverbGainFactor=2.0

    Possible Solution #6:

    Right-click on volume control icon in systray
    Select “Playback Devices”
    Click on your playback device.
    Click on “Configure” at the bottom of the window.
    Select “Stereo” as your speaker setup.
    This forces Windows 7 to use basic, 2-channel sound, thus avoiding whatever surround-sound glitch Homefront is currently choking on.

    Possible Solution #7:

    Disable surround sound

    Let you know what works..lol
