    You will notice that the "safe circles" move in a pattern from both sides of stairs to the middle of the room and closer to the entrance to the room, then the cycle repeats itself. When you know the pattern you can stay alive without having very big problems.
    The trick is getting into the newly spawned circle in 5-7 secs after the text appears and the first AoE comes. Then the second AoE will come and you have a few secs to get into a fresh circle (you just move to the next one). After that the boss summons a robot that fixes him. Kill the robot and DPS the boss untill the next AoE cycle.
