the electric potential (electrical power) needed to cause an electrical arc is far greater than can be supplied by a simple candle flame. What is happening is the electrical potential exists between the two magnetized terminals due to the magnetized nails. helped by the charged ions movement through the wire, a current flows through the wire from one candle to the next. The charge then takes the form of ions in the air between the candle (NOT ELECTRICITY but CHARGED PARTICLES OF AIR). An electrical arc is actual electrons not particles that a pushed through the air by a powerful voltage. There's a big difference!!
