    OK Guys an update on this, They do both work, but the effects may seem different to what people expect, here’s the info from NHN on why people may be seeing the effects they are,

    Lucky charm

    Ok, 2 issues here, one does it effect drops rates at all, and two, in parties it seems to not work at all,

    1) as some people have stated, when used outside of a party the Lucky Charm does work however where it states + 50%, this applies to the chance of each drop, for example If the normal item drop rate for Item A is 50%, then lucky charm works in this way,

    since lucky charm increase the drop rate by 50%,

    50% + (50% increase of 50%) = 75%

    So if the normal drop rate value is small, it's increase will be also small value as below

    5% + (50% increase of 5%) = 7.5%

    2) the group effect has also been explained by NHN as below

    Party called ABC

    A-50lv (grinding at 52lv monster w/o lucky manual)

    B-48lv (grinding at 49lv monster w/o lucky manual)

    C-47lv (grinding at 46lv monster with lucky manual)


    When the party is made, the highest level player of party will be considered to calculate the it's drop rate.

    So for the party ABC, level 50 will be considered to calculate the drop rate for all party members.

    Since level 50 will be considered for member B and C as well as A, member B and C will have relatively low drop rate since they are grinding at level 49 and 46 monsters which is lower than level 50.

    Especially for member C, who is killing 46lv monsters will take a lot of disadvantage since there are big level cap(4 level)

    so we can tell that lucky charm cannot be that effective there.

    This is likely to explain why some people did see a benefit in groups, as they were probably killing a suitable level monster based on the above information

    For the fortune manual, this works in a similar way to lucky charms, as in the 5 increase is an increase of the actual success rate, not an addition i.e. its x% increase of the initial percentage, not a x% add on success chance, following feedback, we have asked that the bonus % value be doubled.
