Tomb of Elendil, Or, Why Sauron Deserves To Win
Let's face it, the Rangers are lazy incompetent fools who deserve to have their empire destroyed. Why?
When was the last time a Ranger did anything? There are one or two examples, but most of the time, they sit by a campfire, or in a city, and get random people (i.e. us) to do their work for them. If its *so* important, why out-source the work?
Case in point: The Tomb of Elendil is supposed to be very important. Their heritage is being plundered. But this place isn't open for 10 min and it's 1) crawling with thieves 2) undefended by the rangers.
Where are the rangers? Oh, they're getting all emo by the fire. “Our kingdom is lost, blah blah, blah.'
Do something about it! Heaven forbid. Instead, they ask us to do their work for them.
Bah! And if it's so important that we re-forge Narsil, why send us on these silly quests to "prove our worth." (Translation, ‘I’m too lazy to do it myself.’) Aragon sent me. Don't like it? Take it up with him.
With this total lack of spirit, no wonder the men of the north folded like a cheap hobbit suit.
