* Resident Evil 5's Mercenaries mode is slightly easier to play than its Resident Evil 4 counterpart. Enemies tend to group together, maps are a bit smaller, more time bonuses, lots of customization, decreased enemy sustainability, and lots of items.
* Choose characters and uniforms according to the stage. Weapon efficiency will greatly affect (or hamper) your progress.
* Try to chain together as many kills as you can in rapid succession. Doing so will rack up your combo count and your points. Chaining combos above 10 kills can be very difficult, so take your time and make your shots count.
* Never stay in an area for too long; always move about the map. Doing so will reveal more enemies to kill, and more time bonuses to destroy.
* Acquire bonus time when near a large group of enemies to maximize point gain.
* You must score 40,000 points or above per player, which is an A ranking, in order to unlock new characters, outfits, and maps.
* Nabbing all time bonuses on a map will give you 6 - 8 minutes of play time, more than enough to accumulate your A rank.
