Djaziri said : "At present, we have not been officially contacted by any clubs, although we know there is interest for Benzema. Anyway, he wishes to remain at O.L. next season and the club officials want to keep him. .... Even if O.L. would fail to qualify for next season's Champions League, Benzema prefers staying because his objective for next season is to participate at the 2010 World Cup with the national team and he knows that playing for one of the greatest French clubs is an advantage for him. Being an O.L. player basically guarantees a place in the French national team. .... Anything can happen in the future, but I have the feeling Benzema will remain at O.L.".
