Chievo Verona had scouts in the stands for Anderlecht's Champions League qualifier with Neftchi.
The Serie A club were checking on the form of Belgium international Walter Baseggio, who is considering his future at Anderlecht.
Baseggio rejected a move to English Championship club Stoke City last week and maintains he would jump at the chance to play in the country of his parents.
