Agnitum Outpost Firewall tűzfalak topikja

cooldoc #823 "By default, when the system starts up, it loads Outpost Firewall as a system service, which operates at a lower level than applications, therefore Outpost starts its protection service earlier and is more integrated into the computer's operating system. If you then stop and restart Outpost Firewall from the Start menu, it will work in User mode (where it is not running as a service) until you restart the PC. Service mode offers better and earlier protection as soon as the system boots up.
When Outpost is in Service mode, "Service mode" is displayed in the title bar of the main window.
It is possible to disable Outpost's system service through the Control panel and then start the firewall at a shallower level as an application. In this case, "Service mode" is not shown in the main window's title bar. Both of these modes are possible in either Normal or Background startup.
It is preferable for Outpost Firewall to run as a service as it is running at a more integrated level within the operating system and starts protecting earlier in the startup cycle. If it is run as an application, its protection begins only after Outpost is started.
When Outpost Firewall operates in the default "Service mode" in Normal startup, it runs as an entry of outpost.exe with a parameter of /waitservice to let itself know that it should wait until the service has started completely before running the GUI."
