News Update: April 11th, 2006
It's been a busy few weeks but we are getting much closer to finishing our next patch update for Allied Force, 1.0.6. As you may have read on the community forums, it's a comprehensive release bringing a wealth of improvements. They include a re-write of the refueling code and numerous enhancements to multiplayer. And the infamous "jitter" of the aircraft on the ground at taxi speeds has finally been corrected. In all, there are changes to avionics, artificial intelligence, weapons, models, textures, the user interface, campaign, stability and graphics. Another excellent improvement is the ability to select any video resolution your graphics card and monitor can support. Owners of the Logitech G15 keyboard can also make use of the built in LCD screen which will display the output of the DED. No date for delivery of 1.0.6 just yet.
On a wider note, there will be a 1.0.7. There is a particularly important multiplayer improvement we're working on for that release. More details on this later. Thanks again to Allied Force pilots for the continued support and enthusiasm for this project. Exciting times are ahead.
