"The number of buildings in Dubai has increased to 79,214 this year from 55,659 in 2000 an increase of 42.32 per cent.
The number of housing units increased to 237,728 from 145,363 in 2000, recording a 63.54 per cent rise.
The increase in the number of establishments has been enormous at 94.02 per cent during the same period. The number of establishments has touched 73,294 compared to 37,775 in 2000."
