Played this last night after it eventually downloaded. Didnt get chance to produce a video for the lads like I originally promised.
Ok 1st things 1st What about Demo 1 do I think has changed for Demo 2?
Well in Demo 1 I felt as if the emphasis was too much on attack. Both you and the CPU could easily free-flowingly attack with no real emphasis placed on defence. At times it was all too easy. This has been scaled back now and there is a good balance between Defending and Attacking in Demo 2.
I personally felt that the shooting in Demo 1 whilst MASSIVELY better than PES 2012 was too effective. Too many easy goals scored and too many wonder goals and rockets being sent into the top corner with half a yard of space and a double tap of the shot button. Demo 2? Well they have toned the shooting down a lot and its no long all that easy to rocket a shot into the goal with ease which is a good thing BUT having said that now I dont feel as if I can really hit a powerful shot... unless I attempt to Knuckle Ball it every time! So that is a let down in honesty.
A couple of issues from Demo 1 still appear in Demo 2 that im not too happy about. 1) Sprinting with players.... they feel like they are barely trying to sprint! Even the quickest players look like they are labouring whilst sprinting with the ball... you get no sense of Pace (IMO this is).
2) [This was an issue in PES 2011 and 2012] The AI locking on to one of your players who is in control of the ball, hanging on to them and then your player stumbles stupidly and they easily steal the ball from you is still present and seems to be worse in Demo 2 if anything. This drives me FRIGGING MAD! Why cant I change direction or push the ball further away like players do in real life to try and shake off the opposing player?!!!
Another thing is I think they havent been generous enough with the rating of Manchester United's squad. Too many players have far too average stats when in reality they are a lot better than that. For example how can Ashley Young only have a C rating for Speed?!! He is quicker than that! Not lightning quick but not just above Average!! Same for Nani, he is quicker than the stats suggest. Hernandez is still rated as an extremely average/poor player with a C Rating for speed... he is quick in real life... at least a mid range B for speed!! Kagawa... OH MY GOD how can they give him a C Rating for everything?! The guy was probably one of the best players of the Bundesliga last season??!!
All in all its a bit of a mixed bag again. Ball physics good, passing good, manual systems good, Collision detection is still dodgy...... I had Arjen Robben shoot at David De Gea and the shot went THROUGH yes THROUGH his right hand!!? A cheap cheating of physics kind of goal was conceded as a result?! SORT IT OUT KONAMI FOR HELLS SAKE! Shooting is better than 2012 and probably well balanced but I dont feel like the shot has been "Hit" so to speak and I have scored some nice goals on Demo 2.
Playing it on Top Player if anyone is interested to know.
