Rumors have been going around and even a new petition concerning Punkbuster support in Call of Duty 2. People say neither Activision nor EvenBalance has made a statement regarding the integration of the anti-cheat tool, but I believe it's all hogwash for a number of reasons.
1. Corporately speaking, it's a win-win situation for both companies, since EvenBalance gets its product spread and Activision strengthens its game. I honestly don't think the two are dumb enough to overlook the opportunity.
2. In the past, Activision has collaborated with EvenBalance numerous times; there's no evident reason to cut the relations.
3. It's not surprising to me that a direct statement hasn't been made yet. If I remember correctly, Call of Duty wasn't shipped with Punkbuster; rather, the utility was added in an early patch. If CoD2 doesn't ship with PB, I imagine the same thing would happen.
Now, if chance has it that an anti-cheat tool doesn't get into CoD2 at some time, you can proceed in punching me in the face
