ACPI = Advanced Configuration and Power Interface
APIC = Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controllers
ACPI is the system that controls your dynamic speed fans, the power button behavior, sleep states, ect.
APIC is the replacement for the old PIC chip that used to come imbedded on motherboards that allowed you to setup interrupts for your soundcard, ide controllers, ect.
Menni fog. Célszerű Live módból telepíteni, a menü helyett.
Csökkentett mód külön boot menüből érhető el, de az is teljes értékű, csupán szervízlehetőségeket kapsz. Linux nem Windows. Konkrét csökkentett mód nem létezik.
5 különböző futási mód van, amelyek között bármikor váltogathatsz az init (1-5) paranccsal. Általában az 1 a "csökkentett", de /etc/rc1-5.d-ben olyan profilt készítesz ami jólesik.
