"In late 2384, Starfleet transferred B-4 to the custody of the Soong Foundation. Despite his less sophisticated positronic net, Data's original personality and knowledge was transfered to B-4 and his personality and knowledge were restored one year later.
As of 2387[1] Data commanded the U.S.S. Enterprise-E, becoming the first non-human to command the Federation's flagship. He is still in command in 2408 when the ship is lost to the Undine at Starbase 236, though Data and his crew escape. Data later retires to Oxford on Earth. Upon the commissioning of the U.S.S. Enterprise-F in 2409, Data advises Va'Kel Shon to accept the command when he is offered it.[2]
By 2410, Data has returned to Starfleet, though it is currently unknown what his present rank and assignment are - if any. "
