    After downloading and un-zip/rar, then load the NEEDS_EMULATION.mds into alcohol's virtual drive (I didn't write to a CD like the instructions say). Turn on RMPS emulation in Alcohol, but NOT SecuRom emulation.

    Now, run SecuROM_loader and give it the installed Stronghold.exe file on your hard drive. SecuROM_loader should start the game just fine.
