AC Milan try again for Newcastle defender Boumsong

AC Milan are reviving their interest in Newcastle United defender Jean Alain Boumsong.
Milan chiefs are determined to land a powerful centre-half in the winter market and are again eyeing French international Boumsong.
Before his move to Newcastle from Rangers, Boumsong was scouted by Milan assistant coach Mauro Tassotti at an Old Firm clash last season.
Milan chose not to compete with Newcastle for Boumsong last January, but are now reviving their interest in a player who has been likened to former club hero Marcel Desailly.
The Italian giants are prepared to test Newcastle's resolve over Boumsong, who has struggled for consistency since his arrival at St James' Park, with a bid of £7 million.
