Galliani defends Jankulovski deal for AC Milan

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has defended the signing of former Udinese winger Marek Jankulovski.
The midfielder is still to play for Milan after joining the club injured, but is expected to be available after the international break.
Galliani said: "Nedved said that Jankulovski is the best player from the Czech Republic. We had an agreement with Udinese in January to acquire the player in July.
"We could not know that he would be injured on the 10th of May as a result of a hard tackle from Cufrè.
"Therefore the signing was not a mistake, in football such episodes can happen, it's not the fault of anybody.
"Marek is recovering and will return to be the great player he always has been."
