GATTUSO: 'Vieri to Milan? Strange but beautiful'
    7/8/2005
MESSINA - Gennaro Gattuso, speaking from Messina where this evening he will play the charity game organised by his Forza Ragazzi Foundation, commented on Christian Vieri's move to the Rossoneri and said: ‘I'm happy, but to see him in a red-and-black shirt is strange. However, I'm pleased because he is a champion and when he is in form, he can make a great contribution.'
About Alberto Gilardino's possible transfer, the gritty midfielder added: ‘Everyone knows that the cost of his contract is high, so the club are thinking about it. There is a 50 per cent possibility that he joins us because Parma ask a big sum and it is a difficult period for clubs who cannot spend much money.'
In closing, a comment on Carlo Ancelotti's new system for new season: ‘With a three-man defence there will be more space in midfield.'
