    The story of gothic3 will take place on the mainland.
    There’ll be desert areas.
    Myrtana is divined in 4 realms.
    Myrtant is a see.
    Varant is a city/realm
    You can enter the country called Nordmar.
    It will give an extensive coast.
    The orks are destroying the kingdom, and the king has lost the control of the realm.
    You’ll have different goals depending the guild you decide to join.
    The ship will not sink as we all assumed.
    You’ll meet again your old friends.Like Lee Diego,Lester,Gorn and Milten.
    Xardas will play an important role again in the story.
    Varant is one of the fourth parts of the kingdom.(see battle of varant).
    Lee your friend from gothic1,2 and leader of the mercenaries wants to go to the mainland to take his revenge from the king and the sycophants who betrayed him.
    It’s your goal to stop the orkwar.
    It is said that you can visit the southern isles with a ship.
    The first characters you'll meet in G3 won’t know for sure anything about the war and everything will be quite dirty and more in Gothic I style .You can see this here

    Game play:


    The world will be 4-5 times bigger.
    The environment will become more realistic
    Expect many new weapons ,runes guilds, armors,NPCs,ares to visit…
    A number of important guilds and parliamentary groups the player may join will play a significant role in the game
    The opponents can make special attacks. The AI from the enemies will be further improved .Creatures will use new "hunting styles", like jumping from a rock to attack you.
    The creatures will have more than one way to attack you. Enemies will react better on ranged attacks.
    The hero will lose some of his abilities and inventory, due to misuse on his long ship journey to the mainland
    There will be a grater variety of things you could do in the day(like fishing). The NPC Schedules (Daily routines, etc.) have been simplified to allow for a larger amount/variety of NPC characters to be inserted in the game. The method of inserting NPCs as seen in the earlier games proved too time consuming to use on the scale they want for the third game. As noted here
    New skills will be introduced, more human skills, this will probably have something to do with the personality of the hero.

    The way how the player play the game will has a influence at the story and ending
    The player can choose on of the warlords fraction who have their one-town-kingdoms.
    You will need water bottles to survive in the desert. The water supply of the hero will play a key role in this part of the continent.
    There won’t be mixed areas like in the other 2 gothic games. Many different terrains will be available: deserts, swamps, jungle, mountains.
    It’s said that the guys will use horses or camels due to large landscapes.
    In some comics(original) about gothic 3 it is said that Lee has been established on camp which is located in the north. From there Lee can control the passes and gets played by the king to do that.
    You will learn the story and hear news from person to person. The pieces of the puzzle will slowly fall together. No general quests which reveals the entire story. That makes the game more interesting and you won’t know the dangers that await you from the begging.
    The character can do different attacks depending the kind of weapon he uses.(mace,sword..)
    The things won’t come as you have planted them. Some things will change during the game.
    The combat system has been completely revised. In Gothic 3 it will no longer be necessary to click in the correct time in order to execute a combo. The combo is rather the standard attack, that occurs when when clicks and holds that attack button. This allows for individual special moves that occur when one clicks again at the correct time during the new standard attack. It may also be a possibility to fight in the classic Gothic 1/2 style, if one chooses. Note that this method is only a prototype, and the combat system is still under heavy testing and may change.     Technology:


    You can finally use the mouse in the inventory.
    The largest part of the engine has been developed.
    They’ll use EMotionFX engine for representation of the characters .
    The character’s faces will be very good.
    The face-animation shall be better than HL².
    We know that they will use the same engine as the new Pirates.
    They will use the emotion fx engine for animations.
    Pixel shading (blur, glow, fog, etc..)
    Normal map support
    There is a licensed Graphic-engine. It's probably the same engine that is used for Die Gilde 2.
    Full use of DirectX 9.0b or 9.0c
    The world will be much more spectacular and much more beautiful and the interaction with npc's will be further improved.
    A Physics-engine can be licensed when needed.
    The graphic’s effects will change.
    More guys will be hired for recordings. KaiRo said it himself in a posts in jowoods forum.
    Kai Rosenkranz will cooperate with a yet unnamed Bulgarian composer for the soundtrack of Gothic 3. Whether an actual orchestra will be used for the soundtrack has not yet been determined. This was stated by KaiRo himself in this forum.
    Importing your hero from Gothic 2 into Gothic 3 will not be possible. See this post.
    Application of Pixel Shader 3 in large amounts.
    Gothic 3 will be able to use Hyper threading
    A lot of new animations and moves.
    We will certainly have a standard mouse interface in Gothic III.

    Artworks:


    here are the artworks.
    In one of the artworks you can see a new guild. It’s called Hersi
    You can see 2 swords for one guy .That proves that the game’s fighting system will change.
    You will need cases to put your swords(arrows…)
    The armour system will change. You can make your own armour(using boots..)
    In another artwork you can see a beautiful Arabian culture with oases, a beautiful designed city, with great textures.
    You can see a guy called orchunter This is another possible guild of the game.
    Also another artwork proves how the atmosphere will be in gothic 3.Dark skies(capital)rotten trees dead animals frighten people.

    Véleméy:
    Végre lesz eszük az NPC-knek :D Kissé érdekesebbé válik az amúgy egyhangú harc és ez jó. Az hogy az irányítást javítják, értelemszerű hisz elég gány volt. Végre páncélt is kovácsolhatunk, bár az hogy már a páncélok nem össszetettek lesznek mint eddig, sztem negatívum. Nekem tetszett ahogy így volt csak egyel több baj lesz vele. Tevel, ló, jöhet ezerrel. Nagyon kíváncsi leszek hogy oldják meg ezek irányítását a Jean D'Arc-ban rettenetes volt, remélem sokkal jobban meg lesz oldva. Ekkora térképméretnél kötelező!
    A történetről csak annyit hogy a rohatt orkoktól már sose szabadulunk meg? Xardasnak remélem tényleg hatalmsa szerepe lesz, de valahogy nem szeretném főellenségként viszont látni.
    Bele se merek gondolni milyen egy gépigénye lesz. Jobb ha rögtön elkezdünk spórolni, hogy leírták gyönyörű képet kaphatunk, sajnos ehhez felszerelés is kell Azért remélem tévedek és egy 64megás kártyán is menni fog.
    Amúgy érdemes a fórumot olvasgatni, érdekes dolgok vannak leírva, és ha kép nincs is, nyálcsorgatásra ez is jó lesz ;)
