SSI stock scenarios can be played online without any modifications..
Raiders scenarios can be converted quite easily::

-Copy the scenario file (*.SCN and *.TXT) into the SCENARIO folder
    -Run Lasse Jensen’s Editor
    -F8: Load
    -F4: General Map Data
--> set Made to 0 or just delete the 1
    -F9: Save

It is recommended only one player (the more experienced one) does this and sends the modified scenario to his opponent before the game.
In order to play online you must then use the grey version of the scenario.

    The Game:

One player acts as the host and prepares a new game.
The other one (guest) enters the host’s IP address and takes part in the game.

I.e. the host has to find out his own IP address and pass it to the guest.
Depending on your Windows version this works as follows:

    Windows 95 / 98: Start -> Run -> enter WINIPCFG or IPCONFIG.
    You’ll get a pop-up showing the address.
Windows 2000 / XP: Click on Internet Connection in the task bar -> Details.
Note: these terms are translated from the German Windows version, if there is something wrong, please drop me a line.

    Starting the game:

    The host starts PG2,
    selects Multiplayer game,
    selects ‚New game’,
enters his name, the name of the game, and no. of players (usually ‘2’)
waits in the selection menu until the other one has joined the game!

This is quite similar for the guest, except for he joins the game and enters the host’s IP address.
Then both player names should be visible on the actual screen.
‚Should’, because it does not always work, unfortunately. There may be several reasons for failure (see below, No Connection).
You also can select the 2nd game on this actual screen; thus the same player is the host for both games. Just swap the player names.

If both players are available, the host selects the scenario and the prestige settings.
The settings can be adjusted in intervals of 10 as opposed to pbem (25).

Within the actual game, however, do not use the PG chat!
It may be disturbing for a player to watch lots of messages And using an external chat program helps to …

    Avoid Game Crashes:

Please absolutely stick to the following:

Never use the PG chat within the game (the scenario)!
Always deploy new units one by one!
Purchase one unit, deploy it, move it, thereafter purchase the next unit etc. .
Do not transport units by planes!
(Conclusion: do not choose scenarios where air transport is essential.)
Avoid file sharing (emule, edonky, winmx usw.) during a game!

    No Connection:

If you don’t manage to connect to each other the most common reason is a fire wall.
However, do not switch it off unless there is no better solution!
First try to configure your fire wall in order to enable internet access for the PG2 program (panzer2.exe, pg2uk102h.exe).
Recommendation: AtGuard (shareware); maybe it works with ZoneAlarm, too.
