A contract worth 7.957 billion euros to supply Kuwait with 28 Eurofighter Typhoon fighters (22 single and six double) was signed by the Italian company Leonardo in May 2016. Delivery of aircraft will be made from the Italian production line Leonardo, where the production of the first machines has already begun. Kuwait should receive fighter jets from 2020 to 2023.
December 2017 an intergovernmental kontrak and between Great Britain and Qatar, with a total cost of around £ 6 billion to supply Qatar with 24 Eurofighter Typhoon fighters, then BAE Systems, its main contractor, announced that its share in the contract will be about £ 5 billion, and the first payment from the Qatari side is expected in mid-2018 of the year.
Aircraft for Qatar will be manufactured on the assembly line of BAE Systems in Warton, and deliveries of Qatar fighter planes will begin no earlier than the end of 2022. This will give the Qatar Air Force time to receive and assimilate up to 36 ordered French fighters Dassault Rafale and 36 American fighters Boeing F-15QA, and the preparation of a sufficient number of flight and ground crew.
