January 23, 2004 - Publisher Konami of Europe today announced that the UK release of Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes would ship on March 26 -- or roughly two weeks after the US build.
The game will come packaged with an exclusive image by lead artist Yoji Shinkawa.
The Twin Snakes, developed by Konami and Silicon Knights, marks the first time a Metal Gear Solid title has appeared on GameCube. The third-person action title is a fully enhanced remake of the original PlayStation 1 hit complete with entirely overhauled graphics, re-choreographed cut-scenes, and all of the additional play mechanics from the PS2 sequel Metal Gear Solid 2. Players control Solid Snake, a rough, gruff special operative sent in to infiltrate the compounds of a terrorist organization and put an end to the mysterious 'Metal Gear Project.' Gamers will use a combination of stealth, weapons, and gadgets to accomplish the mission.
