    1. Build a standard foundation.
    2. While still in the foundation and deck tool and holding CTRL, drag to erase the center of the foundation.
    3. Go down to the lowest level (page down).
    4. Lower the terrain inside the inner wall of the foundation using the lower terrain tool.
    5. Switch to the level terain tool. Then, click and hold on a tile that seems to be the right depth. This levels out any included tiles to the same level as the first square. Keep leveling till the basement floor is flat.
    6. Return to the ground floor (page up) and select a connecting stair. Point to the floor adjacent to the hole. A staircase draws automatically down to the basement floor. Relese the mouse button.
    7. Apply flooring to the ground level and put a railing around the opening with the fence tool.
    8. cover the floor and walls in the basement too.
    Now you have a basement, with foundation.
