Firstly some good news for those of you who missed the "Free Cam" in FIFA 2003. It is back and better than ever in FIFA 2004. The zoom feature has been vastly improved. So along with being able to do the full "Matrix" style rotation you can also zoom up incredibly close to the players.
Here is a tip you can try in the demo. Firstly, find the button that makes your player slow down with the ball and basically just walk with the ball at his feet. Normally this is the L2 button (although it will vary on different controllers). Remember which button this is. Then, when you are next in attack hold it down to a take a shot. You will notice that the shot, no matter how hard you hit it, goes straight along the ground. Also, try holding it when going for a ball that is in the air near goal, instead of heading it you will volley it. This button works with crosses as well, along with a lot of other parts of FIFA 2004 giving you a good variation in the types of moves you can pull off.
Some people are finding that it is hard to do a proper cross in the demo. The best idea is to use Off The Ball control. Just before you cross, hit the OTB button and then press the cross button. You will pull off a perfect cross to the man you selected.
