(Paraphrasing from the marketing guys) The package offers offered on Steam are Scheduled to change shortly. There will *NOT* be upgrades to / from specific previously owned packages. There will be a way to fill out the games you don't currently own by buying them individually. The pricing has not been announced yet. If you are interested in buying DoD:S - do it now while there is a 10% pre-order Discount.

There is NO relationship or equivalency between the retail versions published by Sierra / VU and those packages available on Steam.

The contents of the retail boxes are very explicit with regards to the games that are included. DoD:S is not included in any of the Sierra / VU retail packages as they did not have the rights to distribute that game (Activision distributed the original DoD). DoD:Source was ONLY included if you purchased the Silver or Gold Pack through Steam.

Purchasers of Retail packages - The retail packages are NOT equivalent to packages available on Steam. Period. The contents listed on the box are EXACTLY what you were promised and exactly what you have paid for.

Bronze Package owners, you also received exactly what you paid for. The offers explictly laid out what you were purchasing and they were side by side comparisons with the other packages offered. Personally I can't understand why on earth someone wouldn't spend the extra $10 to go with the Silver package...but I'm sure you had your reasons. But then to come back almost a year later and say that Valve OWES you more...for free no less...
