What is the best way to clean my TFT screen?

    Hi all,

I hate the annoying smudges or even droplets on the screen - its a never
ending battle to clean it. I am always afraid I'd damage it or press too
hard, it kind of cloth like not glassy at all. Liquids always seem to leave
a film or slight smudge, I'd always have to sort or gently buff it in the
end. I currently use a cloth that came with my pair of prescription glasses
and my moist breath. Is there a better combo? Is there a protector that I
can slip in (I have a 14.1 on a Sony VAIO)

    Thanks,
    William

First of all you should NEVER touch a laptop screen and if you are going to
sneeze, cover your mouth and turn away from the laptop. LOL. OK now that I
have expressed my opinion in a hopefully humorous fashion, I just use a
slightly moistened fleece rag and then lightly go around wiping until it is
all dried or evaporated. I only use warm water and no chemicals. It
certainly has worked well for me for the last 10 years of laptop ownership.
(Just keep those paws off of the screen and that will get you a lot better
    mileage in-between cleanings.

I use a product called "Klearscreen" from http://www.klearscreen.com/, and
it has worked out well, though I also use a damp soft cloth too, with great
care. Dell recommend simply using warm soapy water on a soft cloth. Movement
    should only be vertical.
