A szovjet beavatkozás volt a döntő, mert elsöpörték a Mandzsúriai "elit" kwantung hadsereget. Majd: The American use of atomic weapons against Japan and the Soviet invasion of Manchukuo prompted Hirohito to bypass the existing government and intervene to end the war.
Valóban számított, hogy az atomot ledobták előtte, de nem ez volt a nyomósabb ok az én értelmezésemben. Persze a véleményünk különbözhet :)
