hi, i just saw your enquiry on this forum, i know its a late but if you still require the info here it is, i had the same problem, in order for you to convert a cdr file to psd format in layers, all you have to do is place place each seperate component on a seperate layer in corel draw using the object manager, after that you can export the image in psd format and it will be in layers no problem
