    Its possible to test weapons, that will be in
    UPCOMING patches (NOT 1.9)

    Should work as follows:
    open console, type:: open mapname.aao (where mapname could be weapons_cache.aao), type: playerlock 0, type: summon_agp_... (Check the link for what you have to type), the weapon should drop in front of you.

    And, pls notice: this does NOT work in 1.7
