Andy válasza erre a collision témára :

"Thanks for the feedback concerning this and we'll certainly take it into consideration.

A few things to chew on:

    - The first test we ran without Friendly Collision was executed in a manner to gather feedback on the immediate impact of the removal of friendly collision. Players were not made aware of the change until after the fact for 2 reasons: 1.) we wanted a visceral reaction to how the gameplay felt. 2.) We wanted people to play the game without friendly collision as if they were viewing it that way for the first time without the chance to pick the idea to shreds as we MMO gamers are prone to do.

    - When I asked the "big question" during the feedback session after the first test (Did you notice anything different tonight?) there was not one single person who could point out that anything was different aside from the game performance seeming much better and the gameplay feeling much smoother. Two very important points there, especially for new players to whom performance can be a make or break consideration -and- existing/veterean players who aren't playing on state of the art gaming rigs: The game performed better and gameplay felt smoother.

    - The second test I specifically picked a Lake to run the test in which had an extreme example of a choke point to test several aspects of friendly collision in. (Eataine). It seemed as though many players knew that FC was disable and reacted accordingly.

Those who are tossing the number out there of 10-15%, we've publicly stated that it's around a 15% improvement in Client performance, which is fairly significant. As we've improved our server stability in large crowd situations over the last 2 years, we've found that the servers actually stand up just fine to large numbers of players on the screen, or in a detection radius, at once. It's the client where we see areas needing further improvement. Any improvements we can make to the client result in more options we have/considerations we can make moving forward, especially when it comes to improving ORVR.

We acknowledge that this is a significant change to the game, and we understand that many players will have concerns regarding it, however in the end we have to make the choice that is the best for the long term future of WAR, for all of our players.
