idezek eurasia-rol: Gecko is an upcoming modchip for GameCube with four wires to solder and new drive code according to ngcdev.com. The flash appears to be a SST39VF040 which has a size of 512KByte (4Mbit), but that could change on the final product. I suspect the grinded circuit to be a Lattice CPLD that is made to look like an Actel on the picture, but the pin count is too low and the [F] logo left to be seen is so "intentional".
