70"Hg not Hq, that is the manifold pressure, 70" of mercury, how barometric pressure is measured. Standard pressure at sea level is 29.92" Hg. The P51 had a great turbo charger that could ram that much air into the intake for power. that is a ton, had no idea the P51 could handle that much boost, amazing aircraft. I like the CAVU also, have not heard that term for quite some time. (Clear Above Visibility Unlimited) for those who were wondering.
