Let me clarify a couple of points:
1) When I say C++ I am talking about C++ "native", non CLR/.net
2) I agree 100% that the current situation with the multiple API (networking ecc) is not working
3) Our dev that was in charge of the Python API left the company so the situation isn't going to move forward much there

This is the proposed roadmap I prepared for Manuel to submit here on the forum.. since you've already started the discussion, here it is:

Road map:

INITIAL PERIOD (3 months)
We'll introduce an equivalent C++ API to develop Apps.
Users will be able to get familiar with the new system
Any work on the existing Python API will stop
Users should be strongly discouraged by developing new Apps in Python

SWITCH OVER PERIOD (3 months)
We'll release an open source C++ "APP" that binds to Python. This will allow existing Python Apps to migrate by just moving a dll into their folder
The provided binding C++ App will not be maintained by us. Any variation/update will be the community's responsibility

FINAL IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD (3 months)
The Python API will be removed from AC
Python itself will not be part of the AC distribution (Installation of Python will be up to the single users)
Current Python APPs will only work using the open sourced binding C++ APP

By the end of 2015, Python will be officially gone from AC.


WINS:
Better performances
Possibility to fully interact with the OS
Easier to develop high-performance bridges with native API for motion platforms, displays, etc.
Faster update and feature addition from us by using the native C++ language
Potentially more bindings developed by the community to different languages (C#/F#? Lua? Python itself)


Remember this is a proposed roadmap, perhaps my twit was a bit too assertive regarding the future. I definitely made up my mind on the idea that choosing Python was a mistake.. but I do respect the hours of hard work put by ppl in the community to create apps with it and I don't want to piss you guys off. So, if it'll end up that we'll have to live with this mistake for the duration of v1.x then fine.. we'll live with it.

Regarding the server side API.. I hear you. The damn problem there is that the fact that Go doesn't allow "plugin" in the traditional sense. I've experimented with local RPC communication (one of the "solutions" suggested by the Go team to implement plugins).. it's not pretty and I have doubts about the performance of it. I've tried to use some bindings to Lua from Go, sadly, Windows is almost like a second class citizen in the Go world and the binding fails to compile on Windows.. so, on the server side, we're a sitting duck at the moment.. there too regretting not going with a straight C++ implementation. But don't think that work is not going into providing a server API as well, because it is on my radar and I know a solution has to be found there."

Jó ötlet, sztem kérdezd meg, rF-ben is nagy élmény volt.

Ettol a GSMF sractol meg a Zonda ill a MerciGT hang ami utos...
Multkor en is probaltam nezegetni ezt az fmod cuccot, mert sokkal jobban kellene ennek szolnia tv kamerabol, de nem jottem ra hogy lehet bevarazsolni az fmod studioba egy gyari hangot....

Próbálta már valaki a Ford GT-t. Szerintem nagyon jó lett ez is.

olyan az animáció? Nem tudom mert nálam ki van kapcsolva a versenyző keze és a kormány is mindkettőből van sajátom,..és ne fárassza a gépemet azzal hogy kirajzolja 😊
